It’s not long, Hosea 14, but it is totally a Millennium Passage!
Let me show you …
“1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. 2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. 3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy. 4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. 5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. 6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. 7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. 8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. 9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.” Again, Hosea 14, in its entirety, all 9 verses.
The addressee … Israel, verse 1 specifies.
The problem … Israel had “fallen” … into sin, still verse 1.
The solution … prayer (“say to the Lord”) and repentance (“turn”), seeking God’s Face, verse 2. Notice here that the Lord gives Israel the exact words to say! This is a major point!
Next, note the result … Israel realizing that God (Jesus) is the ONLY Saviour! Not Asshur (Assyria), not our horses (war horses), not even the “work” of our hands! Only the Mercy giving God, the God of Abraham! All this is found in verse 3.
Then verse 4 … God is talking, planning, promising … “I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.” The Millennium, after the Tribulation and conversion of Israel! Yes, as in “All Israel shall be saved.” Romans 11:26
Then in verses 5-7 the Millennium is described. What glorious conditions … “I (the Lord Jesus) will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.” Literally so, I believe!
And this renewed condition, this amazing restoration, seems to be permanent, verse 8 … “Ephraim (Israel) shall say, What have I to do any more with idols?” Something unprecedented has happened! Israel so in love with Jehovah God! Total loyalty!
Then the Lord speaks again: “I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.” Verse 8, at the end. God, the prayer-answering, always-observing, fruit Giver!
And the chapter concludes with a “Holy Spirit” Editorial! “Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.” Verse 10, sounds a lot like Proverbs!
Hosea the jilted lover … now the great prophetic preacher!
Indeed …

How many times do we have to be told about the Millennium? To begin to get the Picture? Yet many present-day “scholars” say it’s all figurative language … describing God’s blessings on the Church right now!
That’s nearly anti-Semitism!
