The Bible, “exceeding broad” says Psalm 119:96 when describing God’s Word! All I need to properly live the Christian Life, when aided and empowered by the Holy Spirit!

Yet Brother Bagwell is having an atypical moment when he has NOT yet sensed a leading of the Lord … as to where we go next in our daily devotional studies.

Pray for me in this regard. The Lord willing, I will know something by Monday morning.

But earlier today I did see a Sermon in a Christian Periodical that caught my eye, maybe even my heart.

It was entitled something like this, “The Cornerstone of Revival.” Or maybe it was the “Fundamental Fact of Revival.” It could have as easily been named “How Revival Begins.”

And here is the verse it heralded in answer to its own premise …

“Isaiah 6:1 … “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.”

Wow!

Isaiah saw the Lord!

That began Revival in his heart! (A cleansed tongue, mouth, words! A passion to obey God! Etc.)

Yes, he saw the Lord!

That’s exactly where renewed fervor will begin with us as well.

But … how can WE see the Lord?

Through the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures! God is “in” His Word and today reveals Himself “by” that Word!

Through Holy Spirit anointed preaching of the Word, too. Yes, you can (in spirit) see the Lord!

Then YOU too very well may confess sin and ask for cleansing! (“Unclean lips, purge me!”) You may say “Here am I, Lord!” You may volunteer for greater service, “Send me!”

All this ensuing because you saw the Lord and His Glory! “High and lifted up,” no doubt!

By the way, Isaiah did not see the Lord until King Uzziah died! Was the importance and grandeur of that King detracting Isaiah? Did God have to remove Isaiah’s “Hero” in order to get His Prophet to properly “see” Him, the Almighty One?

I don’t know. But it’s worth pondering! Is anything or anyone keeping YOU from the Lord, from living for Him?

That’s my way of saying I do not yet know how the Lord is leading … in regarding the next Series of Bibles studies we should pursue here on the Website. (Or the “Blog” as the technicians call it nowadays. Whatever that means!)

But I do know where we have been over the past year or so … again meaning here (drmikebagwell.org and drmikebagwell.com) where I’ve written Lessons virtually every day since 2003!

Yesterday concluded a total of 91 Lessons about the Millennium! (Yes I went back and counted.)

Prior to the Millennium Series (Bible Prophecy) we focused on the Book of Acts (Bible History) for 81 Lessons! Isn’t that neat how the Holy Spirit led, without my even being conscious of His Rationale! (Looking at the past … then looking at the future!)

And before we analyzed at the Book of Acts that intensely … we studied the (Old Testament) the Book of Leviticus (the “Penthouse of the Pentateuch” in some ways). Get this … 143 Lessons from Leviticus and its 27 chapters!

And that quick review takes us back to July of 2019, best I can tell. Now to be truthful, our readership has decreased during this time of Millennium/Acts/Leviticus concentration. I do not know what people “want” anymore. Not the Bible .. for many anyway!

But I suspect God has given us a core of faithful “students” who read here with regularity. We’re actually down to about 400-450 readers a day now. But this is what I tell myself … you all constitute a “congregation” (or a “class”) of more people numerically than I preach to many nights (most nights by far) in our weekly Revival Services.

So “THERE,” the Holy Spirit seems to say, “BE CONTENT!” And I really do appreciate those of you who study with us day after day. Or “catch up” when you’ve missed a few Articles!

In some ways I “miss” teaching Bible College, which was my passion for a few years … before the Revivals became so numerous I could no longer do so. (Maybe the Website has become my way of “teaching” Bible College in a sense.) But truthfully, now my delightful “passion” is standing in a different pulpit each week expositing the Word of God! (I think the Lord has given me a promotion, in ways. And I praise Him sincerely!)

Preaching and teaching the Word … what an honor!

Pray with me please … about “where to go” from here, from the Millennium Studies we just completed.

Oh, let me tell you this. I have had our printer compile all these Millennium Tests into a Booklet … and I shall (upon God’s “green light,” approval) preach a whole week of Revival from these Texts! Yes, a whole week in the Millennium! What do you all think about that idea?

Personally, I’m already excited just thinking about the prospect!

Yes, our final Lesson on the Millennium (though many more could be written) is taken from the little Prophecy of Malachi.

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” Malachi 4:2

Of course, the “Sun of Righteousness” in None Other than the Son of God, Jesus Christ our Lord!

His rising here (I believe) is not focusing on His 3rd Day “coming forth” from the grave … but rather on His Second Coming to earth! (The “arise” terminology is used because that’s what the literal “sun” does, coming up every morning.)

The noun “wings” suggests the “rays” of the morning sun as it first begins its progress across the heavens! (Sunrises are beautiful … so will the Coming of Jesus be to us who are saved!)

“Healing” is “marpe” in Hebrew, suggesting “wholeness, wellness,” no maladies at all! The Divine Physician!

And yes, the Millennial earth will be full of people who “fear” God’s Name. Who reverence Jesus the King!

The “calves of the stall” suggest “leaping and joyfulness,” as those little animals often exhibit such excitement!

Furthermore, the “stall” also implies safety, sheltered protection!

I guess we should all hope and pray for “Sonrise” then! Do notice how I spelled the word!

This is not the first time either … that Jesus is likened to the sun. Or the sun likened to Jesus, better said.

Psalm 19 comes to mind. There the sun is running a race! (Jesus sure ran His well! To the “finish,” literally.) There also the sun is compared to a “bridegroom” heading to the wedding! That’s Jesus too, for sure!

In fact, there are probably a dozen ways the sun “pictures” Jesus, our Lord being its Creator anyway!

One more time …

Even so, come Lord Jesus!

(Today’s Lesson is late posting due to some technical problems with the Internet Service, due to the motel’s wireless equipment.  But it has been resolved now, obviously!)

Zechariah chapter 14 is amazing!

Its last two verses are our “Focus” today.

“In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 14:20-21

With King Jesus on the Throne, with His Purity and Power radiating throughout the whole earth … it seems everything will be impacted, for the good!

“In that day,” I believe the Phrase means during the Kingdom Rule of Christ, the Millennium, those thousand wonderful years.

“There shall be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD.” This is astounding!

I do remember that the High Priest’s Mitre (Cap) has that emboldened on its crown … “And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.” Exodus 39:30 … but that’s for the High Priest!

Certainly not for horses! That would have been extreme blasphemy in Moses’ Day!

But in the Millennium, with the Glorified Jesus on the Throne … even the horses can (and will) wear “Holiness Unto The Lord!” All nature will have been redeemed, it seems! Remember Paul in Romans 8:22-23 … “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now; waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption” … which comes through Jesus and Jesus only!

Wow!

Plus … even the cooking pots in the kitchen will be like the pots in the Temple, clean and dedicated and pure! “And the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.”

Jesus is one Powerful, Influential Ruler!

Plus, in that day … there will be no more “Canaanite” in God’s House! No filthy foreigner, no unbeliever! No idolater! (Recall that Jesus cleansed the Temple once, and maybe twice, in His earthy Ministry the first time He came!)

Pristine Purity!

And now we have come to the end of Zechariah …with these “horse” and “pot” verses! How unusual!

Now … one more Lesson on the Millennium.
