It is said of Joseph, long ago. “And the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob.” Genesis 49:24

Is that not an encouraging Verse?

It is as if God Almighty reached down from Heaven and laid His omnipotent Hands on Joseph’s merely human hands, thereby the Greater strengthening the weaker!

Dear Lord our God … in this way we too need your “touch!” Imparting to us Thy power!

Nehemiah of old also could claim, truthfully … “The good hand of my God (was) upon me.” Nehemiah 2:8, strength then becoming one of Nehemiah’s great traits all his life.

And God’s Hand upon our hand just might fulfill/accomplish the intent of both Psalm 18:34 and Psalm 144:1 … “He teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.” Strength to oppose the enemy!

And with His Hand upon me strengthening me … I just might also break forth in song, in joy! “The LORD is my strength and song.” Exodus 15:2

Ezra the great scribe too, listen: “And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me.” Ezra 7:28, if you’d like the exact reference.

Essentially this lesson then is about praying for strength! “Thy God hath commanded thy strength: STRENGTHEN, O GOD, that which thou hast wrought for us.” Psalm 68:28

A petition we need to loft heavenward every day, every morning!

God’s strengthening Hand … and souls being saved too! Read it please … “And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.” Acts 11:21, powerful witnessing and powerful results!

Now I’ll close with Psalm 18:1, its last Line … “I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.” Simply stating a fact!

Oh, how we need HIM day by day!
