I have this morning “lifted” a few words from the mouth of John the Baptist. He was preaching to the hypocritical Pharisees.
“Who hath warned you to flee from THE WRATH TO COME?” Matthew 3:7, King James Version
Today I sit in a motel room in a little Alabama City, preaching in a nearby Revival. We are just over a month from electing (or reelecting) a President. Either way, I suspect America (also a hypocritical nation) faces “the wrath to come.” By that I mean, as did John long ago, “the Wrath of Almighty God!”
Now I am not here talking about the “Tribulation,” though America (if she still exists) will undergo that dire time! I personally believe the Church will be caught up/raptured before the actual “Tribulation” begins. According to the Book of Revelation, that is.
But I am talking about the “Wrath” of God that may/could fall on our Land even today! I mean this week or next, or in the coming months thereafter! A Country that has slain sixty million (60,000,000) unborn babies over the past five decades! A Country that has made legally possible about every sexual perversion the Bible condemns! A Country that has not only turned her back on God, but is now at war with God!
How can we expect anything else than “the wrath to come.”
In fact, sooner or later … it will come!
As Believers, our only hope is, of course in the Lord … and perhaps this prayer: “O Lord, in wrath remember mercy.” Habakkuk 3:2
Though we Christians are secure “in Jesus,” our Nation is far from secure. Maybe now more than ever, far from God.
I do not want to be a pessimist, but I must be a realist too. WRATH is on the way …

We Christians had better brace ourselves with the Word of God!
