We Americans … thus far … only know of God’s Grace, it seems.

We, contrary to Psalm 101:1, do NOT sing of God’s Judgment at all, much at all.

Yet it is a stark reality, God judges iniquity.

An old word of wisdom declares: “God’s Wheels of Judgment grind slowly, but surely.”

At times … no doubt.

But then there is this verse: “Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in ONE HOUR is thy judgment come.” Revelation 18:18

God is going to destroy a whole world-wide system of filth and pollution (both religiously and commercially) IN ONE HOUR!

Those wheels of judgment … seem to have accelerated!

Wow!

Think about that today.

We are nearing the end of the Age.

Jesus is coming soon.

Get ready, Rapture ready!

I realize Jesus is teaching about His Second Coming to earth. “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” Luke 21:27

But it is what He said immediately afterward that has grasped my attention this morning. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Luke 21:28

“These things,” specifically “mean’s hearts failing them for fear, distress of nations, perplexity,” all leading up to ultra-strong Jew hatred!

It’s all on the way!

Beginning to come to pass!

So it’s high time for us … “to look up!”

Our Redemption (Jesus Christ the Son of God) draweth nigh!

The Trumpet could sound today!

The last Bastion of freedom in the world, the United States of America, a once Christian Nation … is crumbling.

This whole (evil) world is unraveling.

And I, agreeing with an old Preacher of yesteryear … “HAVE QUIT LOOKING FOR SIGNS AND STARTED LISTENING FOR SOUNDS!”

The sound of the trumpet.

Here’s how it will happen … “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Are you ready?

And what should be our response or reaction to this good news?

Verse 18 of the same Text … “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

Amen!

The Lord encourages us to “love His Appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8) … surely that’s an easy injunction to follow!

Desiring Him to come, not because of the chaos on planet earth … but because we adore Him!

These two words might ought to become our motto, as Believers in Jesus … “PERHAPS TODAY!”

Today, due to some preaching this week (from Hebrews), I need to learn more about a Bible man named Melchizedek.

I will use my laptop concordance. (His name is actually spelled two different ways in Scripture. And he is only referenced in three of the Bible’s sixty-six Books!)

I will use (I think) a Genesis Commentary I’ve had for years.

Then I shall let the Holy Spirit lead my thoughts, solidify what I need to say in that upcoming Sermon.

The point of my telling you all this?

Often (normally I guess) I have a little “study project” for the day.

I’d like to go to sleep at night knowing a little more about the Book that is so precious to millions of people.

Idea!

Get yourself a little “project” this morning.
