Another Bible Lesson here on the Website tomorrow morning, the dear Lord willing.

A Powerful little Verse in Proverbs 2 is quite enlightening on the subject of Wisdom. God’s Wisdom, which is the only Kind in which I am interested. (The wisdom of this world anymore is stark foolishness!)

Here’s the verse I mean …

“For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6

Remember, a basic definition of this Bible noun “Wisdom” (in Hebrew “chokmah”) is “skill,” particularly “skill at godly living!”

And here “knowledge” means personal, experiential knowledge of God and “understanding” means applying such knowledge to the everyday situations of life! Looks like both are synonyms of Wisdom. Or extensions of Wisdom.

No wonder James, in the New Testaments agrees. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and it shall be given him.” James 1:5, most of it.

Does anyone today sense a deficit in his or her life? Need more Wisdom?

If so, we now know what to do!
