I generally share a Bible few thoughts (every other night) which are left over from the most current video class. Because time just did not allow me to teach all my research material!
Our Text tonight …
“7 And he (Jesus, the Lamb) came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

Singing in the Bible …
Its 1st mention … Exodus 15:1 … Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
Isaiah 53, the Death of Jesus, is immediately followed by … Isaiah 54:1 … Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud …
The 1st use of the verb “to sing” in Revelation … is right here in verse 9 … “They sung a new song!”

Prayer as incense?
Yes, as in Psalm 141:2 … “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”
***
Jesus’ Blood as God’s Blood?
Yes!
Paul preaching in Acts 20:28 … “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
Proof!

Kings and Priests, not a foreign idea in Scripture!
Exodus 19:5-6 … “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: and ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.”
1 Peter 2:9 … “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light …”
Wow!

I say GLORY …
Jesus on Calvary was maligned to an incalculable degree!
Jesus in Glory will be worshipped to a far more incalculable degree!
He is worthy to be so praised!
***
They worshipped the Father back in Revelation 4:10!
Now they (in like fashion) worship the Son here in Revelation 5:8!
Rightly so!
